Do I need new cameras or recorders?

No. VigoraAI connects to the Dahua and Hikvision NVRs you already have; cameras stay plugged into them and keep recording as before.

Does each site need a public IP?

No. With Auto Register (Dahua) the NVR connects out to VigoraAI by itself, so it works behind a 4G router or a firewall. Hikvision's equivalent, ISUP, is coming soon; until then Hikvision NVRs connect directly or over a VPN.

Can I change NVR settings without going to the site?

Yes, for Dahua today: time and time zone, network and ports, storage and overwrite, recording mode, the login password, camera names and picture, and a restart. Hikvision settings are on the way.

What can the AI detect?

Accepted Answer

About 80 everyday things out of the box — people, vehicles, bags, animals and more — plus weapons in hand, fire and smoke, fights, bags left alone and people entering a zone. You can also type your own words to look for, and add faces to a watchlist.

Where is the video kept?

On your NVRs, as now. VigoraAI streams it when someone watches. Clips you save and cameras you choose to record on the server are kept on the VigoraAI server — yours, if you run it on-premise.

Can it run on our own servers?

Yes. With an on-premise licence VigoraAI is installed on your servers, with your domain and branding. One public port serves the app and the NVRs that dial in; the database and media server stay inside.

Yes, for Android: live view, alerts with push notifications, and the same sign-in as the web app.
